Does the Petite and Junior Ballet attend competition?
No, this class is for those students wanting to gain more in dance than
just a regular weekly dance class. This class will have the opportunity
to perform throughout the year at STDC events and other Tulsa venues.

How often does this class meet and what are the other
requirements? The Petite and Junior Ballet class will meet one time
per week, either on Friday or Saturday. Upon auditioning, you will fill
out a questionnaire that will ask for your opinion on the day. To be in
this class, you must take at least one, but not limited to one, other
ballet class. You are also required to attend 3 out of 4 events such as
the Nutcracker Ballet, etc.

What are the requirements for the jazz, hip hop and
lyrical competitive classes? To be in a competitive class you must
take that recreational class also. For instance, if you are in
competitive jazz, you will need to take the recreational jazz class.

What is the additional cost for a competitive class?
If you are in one competitive class, the additional cost is $20 per
month. Two is $30 per month, three is $40 and four competitive classes
is $50 per month.

How many competitions will we attend? Competition
season begins around October and ends at the end of April or the
beginning of May. The 2007-8 schedules are not available yet, but
members will receive a complete schedule no later than August 1st.
You will attend 3-4 competitions throughout the season.

What is the additional cost for the costume and
competition fees? The cost of the costume is $65 per costume. If you
are in one competitive class, you will owe $65. The costume fee will be
due ½ upon signing the contract and ½ by September 1st. The
cost per competition is $50 and will be due 60 days prior to each
competition.

When will rehearsal begin for the competition
classes? You will have a work week with the choreographer during the
summer. If you are invited to the competition class, a parent will
attend a meeting for the exact dates for rehearsals. There will be
rehearsals scheduled throughout the summer and starting weekly in
August.

How many classes can I miss throughout the year?
You will be required to attend a specific number of classes. At the
parent meeting, we will let you know how many classes there will be and
how many you will be expected to attend. If you fail to attend your
specific number of classes, STDC has the right to terminate your
contract with no refunds.

Is there anything we can do to help ease the cost of
the competition fees, etc.? In October, the members will be given
the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser with all of the proceeds
going directly towards the various fees that will occur throughout the
year.
